Some approved service providers may be eligible to access funded interpreting services through the NDIA or Department of Health and Aged Care, rather than through the Free Interpreting Service.

National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)

Eligible NDIS registered service providers can access funded interpreting services to assist implement supports in a participant's plan. Please refer to the NDIA’s website here to check your eligibility and obtain instructions on registering for a funded TIS National client code.

Department of Health and Aged Care for approved providers of aged care services

The Australian Government offers interpreting services to help people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds access and navigate the aged care system.
