Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) provides free English language tuition. You may be eligible for the AMEP if you are a migrant or humanitarian entrant. Learning English can help you to settle into your new life in Australia.
People attending face to face classes can access free childcare for children under school age.
The AMEP has been teaching migrants English for over 70 years and assists around 50,000 to 60,000 eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants each year. More information about AMEP is available on the Home Affairs website.
Skills for Education and Employment Program (SEE)
The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program helps eligible job seekers to learn the skills they need to get the job they want or go onto further study by improving their language, reading, writing, maths and computing skills.
SEE training is tailored to your abilities and goals and is delivered flexibly right across Australia, both part-time and full-time, from metropolitan and regional areas, through to remote communities.
The more information is available about the SEE program through the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations website, including videos and success stories about how the program has helped real people reach their goals.
