Free services through TIS National
The Free Interpreting Service aims to provide equitable access to key services that are not government funded, for people with limited or no English proficiency. Some registered agency clients are eligible to access free services. More information about these services and the eligible groups is available here.
Cost calculator
This calculator is for your convenience and only gives an approximate indication of the service charges of a proposed interpreter booking based on the type of interpreting service required and may not be the invoiced amount for services used. The outcome of this calculator may vary from your invoiced amount based on a range of factors, including:
- if a booking takes place on a public holiday or outside of standard hours (6pm to 8am Monday to Friday and all day weekends based on where services are provided)
- if ancillary tasks are required
- travel costs incurred
- the actual duration of the interpreting booking
- any other applicable terms and conditions or arrangements TIS National has in place with you.
The service charges TIS National will invoice to you will be based on the Schedule of Service Charges agreed when you registered with TIS National (and as updated from time to time).
TIS National understands that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. Our Cancellation Policy provides details about cancellation notification requirements and applicable cancellation charges if sufficient notice requirements are not met.
