TIS National multilingual poster
The TIS National multilingual poster can be displayed by your agency to help non-English speakers identify agencies which provide access to our interpreting services. The poster can be printed in your preferred size by changing your printer settings.
Language identification card
The Language identification card is a tool to help you identify a non-English speakers’ language.
The card includes translations of the phrase “Please indicate which language you speak and we will try to obtain an interpreter to help us” in a range of different languages. You can show the card to a non-English speaker to help them indicate the language they speak.
I need an interpreter card
The wallet-sized I need an interpreter card is designed to assist non-English speakers to request an interpreter when they need to communicate with an English speaker. Once a non-English speaker’s language has been identified, the required language can be written on the card for the client to use again in the future.

I need an interpreter sticker
The I need an interpreter sticker is designed to assist non-English speakers to request an interpreter when they need to communicate with an English speaker.
Agencies can provide this sticker to their non-English speaking clients, once their language has been identified and written on the sticker for the client to use again in the future.
These stickers are designed to fit along the back of a card (such as a Medicare card) or the back of a mobile phone.

We do not stock large quantities of these materials so we may not be able to send you the quantity requested. If you have not received materials within 7-10 days of sending your request contact the Client Engagement team.

- Displayed at expos, stalls and fairs.
You can also include our immediate phone number (131 450) and logo on your publications and letters (please ensure your agency is a TIS National client before listing us on your promotional products).

National Interpreter Symbol
The National Interpreter Symbol is a national public information symbol endorsed by Commonwealth, State and Territory governments.
The symbol provides a simple way of indicating where people with limited English proficiency can ask for language assistance when using government services. More information about the National Interpreter Symbol is available from the Victorian Government website.
