Who can I contact through TIS National?

TIS National provides interpreting services to a wide range of agencies and businesses throughout Australia.

More than 60,000 agencies, including the Department of Home Affairs, are registered with TIS National.

Medical interpreting

General Practitioners (GPs) and medical specialists can access free interpreting services through TIS National 24 hours a day, every day of the year, when they're providing services that are:

  • claimable under Medicare

  • delivered in private practices

  • provided to non-English speakers who are Australian citizens, permanent residents, Temporary Humanitarian Stay (subclass 449); Temporary Humanitarian Concern (subclass 786); Temporary Protection (subclass 785); and Safe Haven Enterprise (subclass 790) visa holders.
